Please read these Terms of Use ("Terms") carefully before using the HantaV Radar mobile application ("the App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the App, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
HantaV Radar is an informational tool that aggregates publicly available hantavirus outbreak data from international and national public health authorities, including WHO, CDC, PAHO, ECDC, ProMED-mail, and others. The App provides outbreak maps, case statistics, news feeds, educational content, and risk assessments.
3. Medical Disclaimer
The App is not a medical device. It does not provide medical diagnoses, medical advice, or treatment recommendations. The information presented in the App is for general informational purposes only and should not be used as a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
If you experience symptoms of hantavirus infection — fever, muscle aches, fatigue, or shortness of breath after potential exposure to rodents or contaminated environments — seek immediate medical attention from a qualified healthcare provider.
We make no warranties or representations regarding the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the health data displayed in the App. Outbreak data may be delayed, incomplete, or subject to revision by the originating health authorities.
4. Subscriptions and Payments
The App offers optional premium features through auto-renewable subscriptions ("Pro"). By subscribing:
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
- Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
- You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID Account Settings
- Any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription
All prices are subject to change. Price changes will take effect at the start of the next subscription period following the date of the price change.
5. Permitted Use
You may use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:
- Copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the App
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Scrape, harvest, or extract data from the App by automated means
- Misrepresent data from the App as official health authority communications
6. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, code, content, and branding, is the property of HantaV Radar and is protected by intellectual property laws. The health data displayed in the App is sourced from public health authorities and is reproduced under their respective terms of use.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, HantaV Radar and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:
- Loss of data, revenue, or profits
- Personal injury or health outcomes resulting from reliance on information in the App
- Interruption or unavailability of the service
- Errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in outbreak data
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
8. Data Accuracy
While we strive to provide accurate and up-to-date information, we cannot guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of the data displayed. Outbreak data originates from third-party public health authorities and may contain errors, delays, or discrepancies. Always verify critical health information with official sources.
9. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.
10. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a new revision date. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
